Dayna is an associate with SHMG, where she focuses her practice on defending professionals in the financial services industry and assisting in the resolution of complex commercial and financial litigation matters. She brings a detail-oriented and strategic approach to each case, drawing on her prior experience in both litigation and at SHMG.

Before joining SHMG as an associate, Dayna gained significant experience at a mid-sized insurance defense firm, where she served as both a summer associate and later as a law clerk. This experience allowed her to refine her skills in legal analysis, strengthen her understanding of litigation practice, and develop a strategic approach to problem-solving that she continues to bring to her work today.

Prior to attending law school, Dayna received her undergraduate degree in Law and Public Policy, from Indiana University, where she built a strong foundation in compliance and regulatory frameworks. She also spent two summers as SHMG’s legal intern, allowing her to gain early exposure to the firm’s practice – and to its infamous candy wall.

Outside of the office, Dayna enjoys running on Chicago’s lakefront path, reading suspenseful thrillers, discovering new restaurants around the city, and cheering on the Detroit Lions.
