Colleen is a Wisconsin native, Colorado resident and honorary Michigander. After attending Michigan State University where she earned two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science-Prelaw and History (Go Green!), Colleen earned her Juris Doctorate from Chicago Kent College of Law. She then moved back to Michigan, where she practiced law at Saretsky Hart Michaels + Gould until 2020. But Colleen and her husband couldn’t shake the urge to live in Colorado so they moved out West to enjoy the fresh air and open spaces, and to conquer all those “fourteeners” in the mountains. Colleen spent four years honing her litigation skills with a nationally recognized insurance defense firm in Denver before the pull of the team at Saretsky Hart Michaels + Gould drew her back to the firm as a partner.

While still based in Colorado, Colleen continues to focus her practice on securities and financial services litigation. She has developed an expertise in defending broker-dealers and other financial services professionals in FINRA arbitrations and state and federal court litigation involving sales practice violations, employment disputes, regulatory and enforcement actions and related matters. She also represents businesses and personnel in complex litigation, including copyright infringement, trade secret misappropriation, breach of contract, director and officer duties and general business disputes. There isn’t a fight that Colleen isn’t ready to take on or an opponent that intimidates her.

In her free time, Colleen enjoys skiing, camping, and hiking with her family. She also enjoys the occasional travel abroad, too, which has included backpacking in Scandinavia and South America, traveling across Western Europe, studying in London and Edinburgh, and spending a summer in South Africa as an extern for the Western Cape Network on Violence Against Women. Colleen also roots for the Spartans whenever and wherever possible.
