| Eric A. Michaels is a founding shareholder of Saretsky Hart Michaels & Gould PC.
Over the last 12 years, Eric has developed an expertise in the principal area of securities litigation before the New York Stock Exchange, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the American Arbitration Association. Assuming primary responsibility, Eric has successfully handled hundreds of arbitration matters on behalf of broker-dealers and registered representatives involving customer complaints, employment related issues and securities/compliance/regulatory matters. He also regularly assumes primary responsibility for federal and state court matters, including enforcement actions brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission. In both 2008 and 2009, Eric was selected a “Michigan Rising Star” by Michigan Super Lawyers magazine, an honor earned by no more than 2.5% of attorneys practicing in the state.
Regardless of forum, working closely with clients and his co-workers alike, Eric treats every matter with the dedication, persistence and a level of preparation absolutely necessary to obtain quality results. This is always the primary goal because, at the end of the day, clients know good product from bad. Being partial to local talent, Kid Rock said it best: “If it looks good, you’ll see it. If it sounds good, you’ll hear it. If it’s marketed right, you’ll buy it.
But . . . if it’s real, you’ll feel it.”
Eric earned his law degree in 1997 from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law where he was an active member of the Legal Clinic and acted as a legal writing tutor. In 1994, he graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the James Madison College political science program.
