COLLEEN M. NICKEL
Colleen M. Nickel is an associate attorney at Saretsky Hart Michaels & Gould PC.
Despite being a Wisconsin native and 2014 graduate of Chicago-Kent College of Law, her four years of undergraduate study at Michigan State University ultimately fueled her desire to return to the great state of Michigan. (Go Green!) While in Chicago, Colleen clerked at two large law firms, concentrating on civil litigation defense. She also interned for the Honorable John C. Griffin of the Circuit Court of Cook County. When Colleen wasn’t working, she was battling it out in the courtroom as a member of Chicago-Kent’s nationally ranked Moot Court program. Colleen competed in the Andrews Kurth Moot Court National Championship – a competition that only extends invites to the top 16 Moot Court programs in the country. Her vigor for advocacy, as well as her work experience and business law certificate, make Colleen a great asset to clients.
In her free time, Colleen enjoys working out, traveling, backpacking and wilderness camping. Colleen also enjoys the occasional travel abroad, too, which has included backpacking across Western Europe, studying in London and Edinburgh, and spending a summer in South Africa as an extern for the Western Cape Network on Violence Against Women.
Colleen is a member of the Michigan Bar and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
